Can I charge my EV at your house?
We don’t have EV charging available on-site, but there are convenient public charging stations nearby in Catskill and Hudson . If you choose to charge your EV at the cottage, please note that additional fees may apply, which could be higher than public charging rates. We recommend planning ahead to make your stay as smooth and enjoyable as possible! Here are a few stations nearby:

What time is Check-in and what are the instructions?
The check-in window is 4 pm – 10 pm.
The instructions will be sent to you prior to your arrival via the Airbnb messages center. It is always a good idea to let us know when you plan to arrive.
What is the Check-out instructions?
Our check-out instructions will be mailed to you via the Airbnb messages center the evening before your departure. However, here is a preview of what they are:
Gather used towels: Leave only used towels on the floor of the bathroom.
Turn things off: Warm weather season: turn off the AC. Close windows. Turn off lights.
Lock up: Make sure you lock both doors when you leave.
Return key: After locking the cottage, place the key(s) in the lockbox and scramble the numbers.
Additional requests: Return items and furniture to their original places, both indoors and outside.
What if there is an issue during my stay?
If there is any issue during your stay, please reach out to us right away via the Airbnb messages center. We'd like a chance to immediately help you out and fix it if it is in our power to do so. If we are on premises during your stay, call Susanne at 917-250-1437.
Are there any farmer's markets in the area that you recommend?
Yes, there are quite a few good ones. They are all listed in our Guide Book. Many of them are cash-only (still!) so be sure to bring cash.
How far is the cottage from the creek?
About 1 minute walk, or 100 feet. You can see the river from inside the cottage.

Yes, absolutely. We have had many dogs visiting, and depending on size and general personal disposition, some liked it and others stayed out. Some owners put flotation devices on their pets. On drier summers, the dogs can walk around on big flat rocks in the creek and splash around in shallower pools and rapids.
How deep is the creek?
How deep is the creek?
It is very shallow overall (1 – 3 feet), with a few deeper areas (4 – 5 feet). It changes after every winter, when the ice break 'remodels' the bottom by pushing rocks around. It also depends on the weather – rain makes the river rise. There are also deeper swimming holes accessible by swimming/hiking 5 min up or down the river.

About 60 feet apart. The layout of both cottage and the garden separating the two, as well as access paths leading to and from the river are designed with privacy in mind. From inside the first floor of the cottage, you cannot see the big house. From the round window on the second floor, you can, so blackout blinds ensures privacy there.
